The University of St. Thomas supports a lifetime of learning and encourages students to enrich their lives with courses for personal growth or continuing education. Students that build on their education but do not wish to obtain a degree may attend UST in two ways: as an audit student or a non-degree seeking student.
Audit students are permitted to attend lectures at a reduced rate because they do not receive a grade for their work.
How to Apply
Students that wish to audit courses can fill out the Audit Registration Form and return it to the Registrar for processing. Students will be registered in courses at the end of the regular registration period as space permits. The Registrar’s Office will contact students about their schedules on the final day of the regular registration period.
Non-Degree Seeking Students
Non-degree seeking students are held to the same academic standards as UST students and do receive a grade for coursework that is transferable to other universities. Non-degree seekers are visiting students who will be attending class on campus for a limited time and are expected to return to their home institution on or before the completion of 15 UST hours.
